Meeting minutes from Michigan Baptist Bible Fellowship meeting on 5-20-14

At Flint Baptist Temple, Burton, MI

Pastors in attendance Jonathan Allen, Dallas Berry, Dwight Billingsley, Greg Burdine, David Chittenden, Daryl Franzel,  Herbert Gilbert, Gerald Manchester, Jason Reaves, Glenn Tatterson,  Jon Wilkes, Walt Yeomans

 

Greg Burdine, state chairman, called the meeting to order.

Opening Prayer: David Chittenden

Motion to accept the minutes from last meeting: Glen Tatterson, second by David Chittenden, all agreed, motion carried

Treasurers Report: Presented by Walt Yeomans. Motion made to accept the treasurers report by Daryl Franzel , Second by Jason Reaves. All agreed, motion carried

State Rep. Report: Made by Herb Gilbert  – Felt the overall fellowship was good, met the $200,000 Goal.  Phasing out the Missions Project offering, to be replaced by the Missions Care offering.  This will be used to meet needs in difficult times, travel due to sickness or death or other extremes, also for security and ongoing care.  Ballot has been set for National officers, New officers to be installed at the September meeting in Taylor.

Missions Report: Gerald Manchester speaking at rescue mission – 7 saved.  Will be changing ministries from church planting to ministering at First Baptist Marysville as senior adult pastor.

Dwight Billingsley Headed up International Board of Arabic speaking pastor.  Currently there are 147 pastors under this ministry.

New Business: Motion made to give $500 to the Gateway project by Glenn Tatterson, Second by Daryl Franzel, all agreed, motion carried.

Mation made to support Walt Yeomans for $1,000 a month by David Chittenden, Second by Richard Smith, all agree, motion carried.

Next Meeting: September at the National  Fellowship meeting at Beacon Baptist in Taylor
